State-of-the-art technology

One of the secrets of our flexible production process is state-of-the-art technology. First of all, our machines can handle all types of winding wire – copper or aluminium; round or rectangular. Furthermore, our winding wire is manufactured in an in-line process, which means that the final drawing and application of enamel is done in one single machine. Altogether, these features dramatically shorten our lead times and increase our flexibility and availability.

Our rectangular wire is processed with a unique extrusion technology where wire rod is pressed through a die, while our round wire is given its dimension through one or more stages of cold drawing. The wire finishes in a process that compromises drawing, annealing, enamelling and paraffin waxing with an exact precision. The usage of paraffin wax, including the advanced procedure of melting the wax directly on the wire, is a patented method from Dahréntråd. This method influenced a whole industry to give up benzine for a more environmentally friendly lubrication.
